Capesthorne Triathlon
Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire - 10th June 2012
My Triathlon has launched a triathlon at Capesthorne Hall , Cheshire, South Manchester, North West England. This distinctive Jacobean style house with its Georgian Chapel and delightful gardens and lakes is set in over 100 acres of parkland. Capesthorne also held 'The One Big 80s party' earlier this year with star attractions – Rick Astley, Tony Hadley, Go West and ABC.
My Triathlon launched the Tatton Park Triathlon in 2008. However by 2010 it had grown to over 2,400 entrants and the venue cannot cope with the triathlon demand in Cheshire and the North West. Capesthorne has been launched to cope with the many disappointed triathletes who are unable to enter Tatton each year.
The inaugural event has been launched on Sunday October 2nd three weeks after Tatton to enable Tatton entrants to enter both events.
The event will be able to run through the day as spectators and entrants will be able to leave when they choose. The park is very family orientated and you can visit the house which is within short walking distance from the event.
